World-renowned silver historian Siro Toffolon has designed nearly 500 flatware patterns, including Celine Platinum, a beautiful blend of French tradition and American modernity in a dual finish. Robust and a pleasure to hold, each handle flares to side points much like a violin before curving into a teardrop end. The raised beveled edge, polished to a mirror finish, outlines a recessed panel that is bead-blasted to a satin finish. Oversized in the European style, the knife in particular is elegantly long to better match larger dinner plates. Celine Platinum is crafted of 18/10 stainless steel for the very best in corrosion prevention and luster retention.
Ready to serve two couples or a family of four, this 20-piece starter set contains four place settings, each of which consists of a 9-3/4-inch dinner knife, 8-1/8-inch dinner fork, 7-1/4-inch salad fork with decorative center notch, 7-1/4-inch soup spoon, and 6-1/2-inch teaspoon. A larger set and accessories are available separately to fully coordinate the table. While Celine Platinum is dishwasher-safe and never needs polishing, soaking in water and prolonged exposure to acidic foods should be avoided to prevent spotting. A family-owned business since 1977, Ginkgo International is dedicated to quality design and value when it comes to flatware for the home. --Ann Bieri
